What Is Zero Gravity?

Zero gravity is now a standard feature on most modern massage chairs. This position was originally introduced by NASA as a way to reduce stress on the astronauts body as they were being launched into space. Since its inception, it has been reappropriated into home massage chairs and zero gravity chairs to helps people find a deeper sense of relaxation.
This position reclines you back and raises your legs to the level of your heart. Many chairs have a two stage zero gravity, the second position simply reclines you back further. In this position, the stress of gravity is removed from your joints and spine which allows them to decompress. This process has an excellent relaxing effect on the surrounding muscles and can even result in a sort of weightless feeling in some users. This level of deep relaxation allows you to get more benefit from your massage experience.
The zero gravity position has another benefit for your massage experience. This position focuses the majority of your body weight on the backrest which pushes you into the massage rollers and improves the deep tissues relaxation. If the massage becomes too intense in this position, most massage chairs will allow you to adjust the massage strength from the remote with the press of a button.
